• Test Code: OS027

Test Description

A pharmacogenetics test analyzes genetic information of DNA in the blood of the treatment recipient to evaluate the metabolic rate, sensitivity and resistance of the drug, and can estimate the therapeutic effect and predict the incidence of adverse events. The test results can be used to optimize drug selection after consulting with a physician and prevent unexpected emergencies related to drug resistance or drug sensitivity.

However, the actual drug reaction may not match 100% with what is written in the literature due to the genetic and environmental factors differenceby region/race. In addition, there may be a difference in the provided results and the actual drug reaction of the test subject due to clinical history or other genetic factors. Consult a specialist about the final selection and prescription of drugs.

Ordering information

  • Turnaround time: 6 Days
  • Specimen: EDTA WB 3cc
    • Confirm side-effects and resistance of 34 different drugs
    • Personalized drug administration plan

Assay information

  • The number of tested drugs : 34 Drugs
    • Stroke, Myocardial infarction, Hyperlipidemia, Diabetes, Chronic Kidney Disorder, Acute Pain, Arthritis, Gastric ulcer, GERD etc. ralated drug
    • Diabetes/ Metabolic disease drugs (5 types) : Glimepiride, Tolbutamide, Glibenclamide, Gliclazide, Metformin
    • Hyperlipidemia Drug (2 types) : Atrovastatin, Rosuvastatin
    • Hypertension drugs (14 types): Irbersartan, Captopril, Quinapril, Enalapril, Hydrochlorothiazide Lisinopril, Losartan, Amlodipine, Nifedipine, Candesartan, Candesartan, Carvedilol, Vucindolol, Metoprolol
    • Inflammatory drugs (5 types): Celecoxib, Ibuprofen, Diciofenac, Naproxen, Piroxicam
    • Cardiovascular drugs (4 types): Clopidogrel, Warfarin, Acenocoumarol, Phenprodisordercoumon
    • Digestive disorder drugs(4 types): Esomeprazole, Lansoprazole, Pantoprazole, Omeprazole
  • Method: SNP Genotyping
  • Standard : No abnormal responses to the drug substance is expected
  • Adverse Reaction : The genotype is associated with enhanced resistance to the drug substance, and can increase the possibility of decrease in therapeutic efficacy of the drugs. Increase in dosage or use of alternative drug may be necessary for the optimal responses. Please consult medical doctor for definitive dose/regimen

Result

The test results will be provided according to the designated TAT. Review the sample report to see how the results are structured.

Limitations

  • Only the results on drugs associated with the genetic variants in this test is reported.
  • The result of this test is not for disease diagnosis. For definitive diagnosis and treatment decision, consultation with medical doctor is mandatory. The result analysis and interpretation was based on the references up to date, and may change following further research findings
  • There may be certain difference between the reported result and the actual drug responsesdue to factors not covered by this test such as the test subjects’ clinical history and other genetic factors.
  • Final drug prescription and any adjustment of regimen must be decided by the medical doctor.s.
